El cable, en funci\u00f3n de las personas que van a intervenir y de los esfuerzos podr\u00e1 ser en acero inoxidable o galvanizado de 8 a 16 mm. Las terminaciones van engarzadas. Un absorbedor de energ\u00eda con pre-regulador permite al operario comprobar la correcta tensi\u00f3n del cable. El carro 8\/16 se compone de 2 bridas de uni\u00f3n pivotantes y unidas por un eje engarzado en un pat\u00edn. El carro se desplaza por deslizamiento sobre el cable. En caso de ca\u00edda su longitud y su forma impide cualquier desplazamiento evitando as\u00ed que el riesgo de p\u00e9ndulo.
